Roots Tracing From the Midwest All the Way to the West Coast.
My roots trace back to Willoughby, Ohio, where I grew up alongside my grandmother Florence, affectionately known as “Flo.” Flo, my hero and now my guardian angel, would often say: “Clean up your house; you’ll feel better!”
That wisdom has always proven to be true.
After graduation, my journey led me to Chicago for a decade before a transfer brought me to San Francisco in 1993. California became my home until March 2021, when a chance Zoom encounter led me to discover and eventually relocate to Salem, Oregon.
Salem immediately captured my heart. After nearly two decades in one job and a quarter-century in California, I was ready for change. In Salem, I found not just a home, but a community where I could truly make a meaningful impact.
The Organizing Bug
Organization has been my passion since childhood. From rearranging my room to tidying friends’ desks during indoor recess, I’ve always had a keen eye for spatial efficiency. For me, organizing is a meditative practice.
My career in professional organizing emerged organically while working at a local restaurant, where I applied my corporate-honed organizational skills. This experience inspired me to launch my own business. Wanting to honor my grandmother, I chose the name Flo and Annie Organizing.
As a member of the National Association of Productivity and Professional Organizing Professionals, I now serve clients throughout Salem and surrounding areas. I help create more efficient, organized, and peaceful spaces in both homes and offices.
